Plattsmouth is a thriving community, rich in the arts, and boasts a long and strong historical presence! Situated at the confluence of the Platte and Missouri River, it was a noted stop for the Lewis and Clark expedition in the early 1800's. Downtown Plattsmouth offers wonderful examples of turn of the century architecture along with many wonderful specialty shops, art studios and eating opportunities.
Guests to Plattsmouth have a choice of two quaint Bed and Breakfasts or if you prefer, travel a few minutes north to take your pick of many fine lodging opportunities.
Here are some of my favorites spots in Plattsmouth!
River House Antiques, Cafe and Deli
The Parmele House Bed and Breakfast
The Bankers House Bed and Breakfast
The Chocolate Moose...coffee, deserts, more

I began the search for the perfect place to work and to be inspired...and found it! I am completely inspired by Studio Pipsqueak! The "new" studio space is located in "old" Plattsmouth, Nebraska, just minutes from Omaha and not much farther from Lincoln, the state capital of Nebraska. I use the term "new" studio space loosely, as it is new to me. It is actually located in a beautiful, turn of the century mansion! Wood work, 12 foot ceilings and all! The mansion has been apartments for years now....but, I pretend it is all mine!
As you will see from the pictures, I am a collector of ....everything.... The best part about the studio is; I can leave everything where it is....and it will be there tomorrow!
